Anchorage Author Visits Ravenwood

Long-Time Alaskan, Tricia Brown, visited Ravenwood

On Tuesday, February 14, author and long-time Alaskan, Tricia Brown, spent the day at Ravenwood sharing her writing experiences and her books to inspire our students to love reading and writing. Many of her books are based on Alaskan children and animals, such as Zig, the Warrior Princess---a dog that is princess of her dog yard, and warrior on the sled dog trail. Tricia also  showcased her newest book, Bobbie the Wonder Dog which is the story of a remarkable collie who, in 1924, walked from Indiana to Oregon just to get back home. Bobbie is also known as “the Love Dog”---just right for Valentine’s Day celebrations.

We know your students loved this time with Tricia Brown, and we hope you found a book or two of interest for your family.
